What type of hair is used to make the locs?
Solar Loc Extensionsâ„¢ are completely handmade with 100% human hair. We do not use synthetic or hybrid hair blends.

We carefully source the highest quality human hair and readily inspect for quality. We "burn test" bulk hair before making locs to ensure synthetic hair is not present.
How many locs come in a bundle?
Most bundles consist of 10, 50, or 100 locs. There are a few listings that offer more or less so pay attention to the type of bundle collection you are ordering.
How long does it take to ship?
SolarLoc Extensions™ are custom-made for you with each order and are not mass-produced or drop-shipped. Therefore, please allow 3-4 weeks for processing and shipping orders totaling 400 locs. For orders totaling 400-600locs, please allow up to 6 weeks. For orders over 600 locs, please contact us for a shipment estimation.

What is your return policy?
Please carefully review before purchasing, as ALL SELLS ARE FINAL unless it is a mistake on our behalf. If we make a mistake, we will provide a return label for the product to be returned for us to fix. We accept exchanges for unaltered items; shipping is the customer's responsibility. Custom sizes/lengths and bespoke coloring locs are final sales and cannot be exchanged or refunded unless a mistake was made on our behalf. We cannot accept returns or exchanges for worn or altered products.

All orders are bespoke. They are custom-made and designed and crafted specifically to meet your order's needs. Therefore, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us prior to purchase. We strongly encourage purchasing a sample before making a large order. Samples can be found here
How many locs should I order?
If extending current locs, it is suggested to count the number of locs you have and order 10-15 more than that number as a cushion.
If you are starting with a fresh, full-head install, the following is suggested for size, but your hair density is the determining factor:

1mm only = 500-550 locs
1-2mm mix= 400-500 locs
2mm only = 350 - 400 locs
2-3mm mix = 300 locs
3mm only = 230-280 loc
micro (4mm) = 150-200 locs
pencil = 100-130 locs
What is the difference between Natural ends and Goddess ends
Natural ends = tight coily pattern that behaves like 4b/c hair. These ends will eventually condense and coil just like natural locs.

Goddess ends = kinky hair that has been processed by us to have a looser and softer texture. These ends require conditioning maintenance and consistent hydration and moisturization to remain curly and unlocked.
How do you install Solarlocs?
Although we have our trademarked method for installing our extensions, many methods can be used to install solarlocs and we encourage you to test out which method works best for you. The most common and simplest methods used are attaching the extension via a braid and securing loose ends with a crochet needle (0.35-0.4mm needles are the best). Can I cancel my order?
Customers have a grace period of 48 hours (2 days) to cancel an order to receive a full refund.  Cancellation after 48 hours and before five days results in either a product exchange or a 30% restocking/materials fee applied to the refund. There are no refunds granted after 5 days, only ONE product exchange (ex: swapping 2mm for 3mm).
